Julia Heaberlin

Julia Heaberlin is an award-winning journalist and internationally bestselling author of psychological thrillers, all set in Texas. For her latest book, Black-Eyed Susans, she researched memory loss, the Texas death penalty and the high-tech DNA techniques that identify the bones of missing people. This spring, Black-Eyed Susans shot to No. 2 on the paperback Sunday Times of London bestseller list and has been optioned for film by Hollywood director Rod Lurie. Before becoming an author, Julia worked at metro newspapers, including The Detroit News, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Dallas Morning News. She lives with her husband and son in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where she is a freelance journalist and is at work on her fourth thriller, a very creepy Texas road trip.
